My friend has purchased a second hand xx4 worlds for his son for christmas but it seems to have a problem.

The back wheels lock as if it were braking when you take the power off. I presume it shouldnt do this as the motor is getting hot. All so if you push it the back wheels lock. It is diffing fine so I presume somthing is rubbing someware.

I dont fancy compleatly striping it down for him does any one know what the problem could be?

It sounds like a problem with the rear belt.
A full stripdown is the only option, good luck!

Had A lucky brake, pinion was to tight against the spur gear. Thank god for that.

well its fallen lucky enough not to have you re building the car at the last minute. lololol
