Can someone confirm/correct my understanding of motor gearing...

I ran an MVP last week in my Mission with a 22pinion (86 spur & 20 layshaft gear). My understanding is that if I wanted to run an RPM based motor such as a Monster Stock I would use a smaller pinion so it can rev (up to 3 teeth lower) so a 19/20? And again for a motor with more torque such as a P2k2 I would use more teeth (up by 1 or 2) so a 23/24?

My last challenge of the day is putting the following in order (RPM down to Torque);

Monster Stock
Orion Core
Peak Hellfire
MVP
P2k2

yes

and ..

Orion Core ... Peak Hellfire ... same motor (Rev)
Monster Stock (Revs more but you can gear it lower than the above)
MVP ... erm ... supposed to be revs... but no. Theres no torque either!
P2k2 (mix of torque and rev)
