Hi all
As i'm looking to get into IC foam racing next year - probably using a HPI R40 - I don't really like the Lola shells that most people use.
Is there something a little more individual than the Lola but just as competitive - and it must be BRCA legal.
Just a hint to bodyshell manafacturers - make a Bentley shell like you can use on your 12th car!!!!
Thanks, Liam
Check CML site, and under Vixen Bodies 200mm you'll find a GT1 Porsche and a Toyota GT1.
They won't have as much downforce as the Lola but would still have more than a Tourer.
(I've got the Toyota but have yet to try it. I too hate the Lola)

No one is obliged to run the Lola shells, you could start a new trend and run a touring shell in the foam class, That's what I shall be doing at Brooklands this weekend if there's enough foam entrants! :P

People tried that last year you simply will not be as competative and not have as much turn in on corners! also differant lines needed,
A lola shelled car has a lot of downforce, and those driving them rely on that downforce to get around the corners, but with a tourer you do not have the downforce so you rely on the tyres, and in the dry the foam has far more grip than rubber which is why it is not safe to race the to tyre types together.
Now if there were a Foam Touring class ruuning as class B within the main foam class.............
