thanks gary very much:D i have been reading your posts of late and have wondered why the moorespeed shock towers are 1mm higher than the hara. what handling charactistics does this do? i drive a hara cyclone at the moment i am thinking of upgrading to the moorespeed shock towers in the not to distant future the car as it stands at the moment has a 19t element on a 104 spur 38 pinion in 64 tpi giving a gear ratio of 6.75it has a edit titanimum fixed layshaft with full aliminium diffs front and rear with hi tensile diff screw and spring until i get used to driving again after a long layoff then i will put the front one way in. but that will not happen just yet unil i get the world edition driveshafts from TIR
The esc is a mrt vx pro and i am running it on mr nobles setup for carpet, it drives very well indeed.:)
I do have another question however if you can tell me that would be great.....when you measure the droop do you take the reading from the bottom of the arms or the c hub:confused: thanx again M8

I didn't kno the moorespeed towers were higher, but its something i'll need to look into now :D

I measure droop at the bottom of the arm, but I dont think it matters so long as you consistantly measure to the same place, and if you use someone elses set up, you measure it to the same place as them.

Also if you're running foam tyres on carpet, remember to check for actual droop, not just the downstops, as ride height and droop will change as the foam tyres get smaller

i run rubber vtech 24's not foams, i have been reading the x ray set up book today on the subject of droop pretty complicated, you change the droop and that also changes the ride height so you change the preload and that changes the tweak so its never ending i cant quite get my head around it at the momentonly read it through once or twice.
i know its a x ray not a cyclone but the principles are still the same.
I do have a hudy setup system with all the droop bar and support blocks and ride height bar also a mip tweek station so im half way there at least.:D
