i got meself a kyosho x-speed 15 turn...oculd anyone describe the difference in the speed from a standard 27-turn motor? i haven't had chance to run mine yet and i dont know what to expect!

It will accelerate a lot more, and have a better top end, but you will need to fit a smaller pinion to it than what is fitted to the motor that is in there now, if it is a 27turn motor.

is the "pinion" the small gear on the motor?

ok what sort of size should i get and why is it important to get a smaller one? soz bout all the questions, i dont know that much :P

For that, we need to know what car it is going in, and what is fitted at the moment, as in pinion (amount of teeth on it)

its a belt driven 4 wheel drive Tamiya TA03, is that what ya need?

OK, what you are better off doing is posting this in the Tamiya section of this forum, and in there, you should get someone who will be able to tell you EXACTLY what pinion you will need to runa 15 turn motor.

I have never run one, so I couldn't tell you sorry, but there are other VERY helpfull people on here who probably could.
