Hi
I heard that losi put o/s hubs on the g+ because they performed better on carpet, although they have been poor on tarmac.
anyone correct me if i'm wrong
thanks Mike

Right the o/s rear hub if for carpet use, basically the rear wheel is in the same place but the actual hub is mounted through a second set of holes further inboard than the standard hub. This makes the rear suspension in effect stiffer as the point where the suspension is compressed if different. This if purely for carpet to give better rear rotation, but it is a big no no on tarmac, the standard ones are a must.

Here we go a crude pic of what the difference is

If you have a standard xxxs you will have to get the g+ rear wish bones as well as the hubs as the standard wishbone hasn't got the alternative holes, and there is different toe in options with the hubs but the standard g+ ones are 0deg

to sum up, the offset rear hubs make the rear of the car feel like it's stiffer, thus making the car pivot much harder mid corner. this is needed on tight indoor carpet racing, but on flowing tarmac curves, you'l find that the car "hooks" agressivly, and unpredicatably.

The rear shock tower simply offers another set of lower holes for the camber link. again, these are aimed at carpet racing, and on tarmac, personally i always use the top row of holes.
