you should be able to buy shottky diodes from any good model shop
they should retail at under £5 for a piar

best best is to buy them from RS or Farnell - much cheaper and you can buy as many or as little as you like. Part number SB540 (5 amp / 40V).

i have used them on all motors from hot mods to stocks
