Fusion Bulkheads?

I have read in the forum about people running the Fusion Bulkheads - can someone tell me what this is all about (when you run them etc.).

well they allow you to run on the outside hole on the hub ! with the standard ones the top arms are easily broken

Part number is U2564 for the plastic Fusion Bulkheads.

These move the upper pick up points out, and help to run the outer suspension "in line". Thats the outside hole on the hub.

I find the car is more settled running these and inline, and as a result haven't gone back in a year.

Yes, but you have to be very careful with the top links. There can be lvery little thread left in the top wishbone and hence they can rip out and break. If you leave more thread in the arm, and less in the ball joint it should be ok. The other option is longer turnbuckles, that is what i used to do.

Following on from this discussion... when would you run with the link to the outside of the hub?

Mark, No. i used to run a std rear bulkhead in the lower hole with the offset hub positions and the hub lowered as much as i dare ;) ::) (usualy 2mm, got brave a couple of times and did some -2.5's - didn't last long!!!) Then i ran a fusion bulkhead at the front with in-line low ball hubs.

Stephen Generally the in-line hub should give the car more turn in. I just prefered the goemetry of it though, as i don't like the idea of the hub and hence steering pivoting at an off set angle.

Both Mr Burgess an myself have run fusion bulkheads and in line kingpins all round on are cars for about a year and never found a need to change.
