My virginal, never run, never even seen carpet Cyclone has a seriou issue with tweek.

I undid the 4 top deck bolts and pushed on the towers whilst my mate tightened the bolts...still rocked like a rocking thing.

Undid the middle two bolts too, and pushed the towers, and tightened and it still rocked.

Redid that but pushed on the actual chassis and tightened and its gotten rid of most of it but im worried now.

Is there something im missing?

Considering the Cyclone is one of, if not the best car on the market at the moment......this section of the forum is hellishly quiet :(

If I could stop my Pro 4 tweaking and get it to handle consistently from week to week, I probably wouldn't have bought a Cyclone S. I'm sure there are enough Pro 4s out there in more competent hands than mine with people who can over come this by looking after the setup, but for me a plastic tub chassis that seems to require less set up effort is the way to go.

I've no experience of the carbon Cyclone, but probably worth getting it on a track before you get too concerned about the rocking. Surely some other carbon Cyclone owners who can comment on the tweak? There will be a few at our club after Christmas.

Does it rock side to side or front to back? Is the chassis flat without everything attached to it?

Thanks for the replies guys.

Garry, with a straight edge over the chassis it wobbles along the back diff section, horizontally across the face, and in a diagonal line from diff to diff.

Mainly its sideways that it rocks along.

Have you tried loosening the bottom bulkhead screws and pushing the chassis flat. It sounds like its the bulkheads that are doing it. If they are slightly furthar apart at the bottom than the top, it will do what you're saying.

Although I'm not sure if my explanation is very clear :'(

How to de-tweak Mr bendy !!!

Loosen all the screws that attach bulkheads, top deck even the ones that hold the servo in.

Once this is done give the chassis a good old twisting in your hands this should then settle flat.

Then tighten all the screws on the bottom of the chassis back up bit by bit so you pull the chassis down flat ( a bit like tightening down a cylinder head on a real car ) Now check the chassis is flat however you wish to do this.

Ok so you now no the bottom of the car is ok now do the same with the top bulkheads, when you have done this push down the same on front and back tighten the top deck down check the chassis is ok.

This is just a start to getting out tweak in the car but will solve the problem you are having.

If you want more of a description and pics etc have a look at the xray website download the set up manual for the T2 its in there. I no this is not for cyclone but its the same principal on all cars have a look i think the book is the best thing i have seen about set-ups etc.

You have to remember this is just the start tho mate.

After you have done this there are lots of other things that can cause tweak if you need any help give me a shout. I dont run a Cyclone but its the same foe all cars really.

Silly question but are you sure that the surface you are putting the car on is flat in the first place - sometimes setup boards etc over the time can get bits stuck in them or the stickers bubble.

If I can't get tweak out of my car with less than a couple of turns on each shock collar, I loosen all the bottom and top deck screws, and the top bulkheads by about 3/4 of a turn. Then I hold the car at each end and give it a little twist in each direction. Finally I tighten up all the bottom deck screws, followed by the bulkheads and lastly the top deck. Then I set the ride height on the car and put it back on the tweak station.

After this procedure the car has NEVER needed more than half a turn on each collar to get it perfectly balanced.
