- Gold front springs, outside hole on wishbone, middle on tower, 45wt oil
- blue rear springs, outside on wishbone, middle on tower, 40wt oil
- 1mm spacer under rear inner camber link ballstud
- Losi street meat tyres all round (will need to CA front sidewall
- Make sure you run a GPM alloy front bumper to stop the hingepins ripping out the chassis
- Camber/toe as you feel it needs
- 13/55 gearing is a good start, but it depends on the motor.
- Either..std servo with lots of spare gears or Hitech HS56
- Alloy steering assembly eliminates some slop in the steering but not all. You make wanna consider making a brace for the draglink.
- turning the rear hingepin brace upside down changes anti squat to 3.5' i belive

Anything else just ask!

Here's how I had my 18T set up ;)

- Gold front springs, inside hole on wishbone, middle on tower, 60wt oil (with 2 'O' rings inside the shock body)
- Gold rear springs, outside on wishbone, middle on tower, 30/40wt oil (with 2 'O' rings inside the shock body)
- 1mm spacer under rear inner camber link ballstuds front and rear
- Foams front and rear, either Mini T rears all round or AE mounted foams, also ran TT foams Blue front and green rears
- RPM bumper way better than alloy as I knew someone who snapped a chassis using a alloy front bumper
- Camber/toe as you feel it needs
- 15/55 gearing is what I used with the likes of speed 300 or Protech MegaX 300
- I used a STD servo and bought a few sets of thunder tiger gears (same as AE's BUT a lot cheaper ;)
- Alloy steering assembly (with the ballraces fitted) eliminates some slop in the steering but not all. With the Driven Products steering drag link
- turning the rear hingepin brace upside down changes anti squat to 3.5' i belive.....Till the grip comes up then flip it back over ;)
- If your using/running a brushed motor.....take theballrace off the spur, as It's NOT needed (saves weight and drag)
- Be carfull when you tighten the top deck down and it'll pinch the ball races and cause drag!!
- Make sure your diffs are shimmed out correctly, as this will save replacing diff gears
- If your running dog bones, and you've lost the springs inside the diffs......use some small peices of nitro tubing, then if the dog bone does come out the tubing is still in place.

Hope that helps?

Won the Ellesmere Classic Winter Series with my 18T last year with the above set up :D

did this make the front very low on your truck?? i have set my suspension up the same as this and it is very low at the front

How low is 'low'?

Wishbones level is what i would aim for..if its slightly off then adjust the wishbone angle using the shock shaft ball cups :)

Are you using Micro 'O' rings or 10th TC/off road shock 'O' rings?

As you need to use micro 'O' rings insdie the shocks ;)

And as c0sie aim to get the wishbones level :D

yes i am using the micro 'O' rings that came with the threaded shock kit. i can tell you that the wishbones are not level with the chassis. a rough guess on the ride height at the front would be about 8mm.

Where have you got your shocks mounted (on the wishbone and tower)? as stated above?

I've just looked at some pics of my old 18T and the fronts are mounted on the inside hole (NOT out side like I stated!!) on the wishbones :o

8mm sounds about right to me :D

**EDIT**

I've JUST edited my post above (hilighted in Blue)

The motor I used was either a Speed 300 or Protech Meg X 300 ;)

The chassis, was a Diggity Design chassis from the States. It was very rigid (ideal for carpet racing!)

Well i have just had a browse through the heat list for the season 2 8/10/06 race and surprisingly there are quite a few racers there that I race with week in week out in RallyX!!!

Seems you have a large amount of drivers! What are the classes all about? skills or modifications?

c0sie

It is the Feb edition although it will be available in the shops shortly.

I got mine about a week ago as I subscribe and it landed on my doorstep in time for me to have a read over christmas.

Another good selection of reviews and updates.
