Just an update.

A certain shop I use is expecting delivery today or tomorrow at the latest.
No point in asking me who, he has already sold out !!!!!

Just hope I get mine, did put my name down in time......

According to Helger they should be arriving in the UK today, so a delivery tomorrow is possible but not guaranteed.

Got mine and fitted my new body, which I bought CLEAR !!!!

Alright, It was the Parma version, but I think it looks better than the Losi one......

Now all I need is the Peak motor, bearing set and oil filled shocks !!

Cracking little truck, it's lighter than I thought it would be so we may have to rethink the motor strategy !!!!!

yip the parma shell looks ace on it. i've got one sitting for a "customer" ;) (chris) and it's damn pretty....

maybe im being silly, but what else do i need? im assuming funky 5 cell pack? anything else?

from what I understand, you dont need anything other than the kit and 12 AA batts (4 for the car and 8 for the radio)

but std AA's in the car is going to be a pain.

A Losi (or any other make) 5cell or 6 cell pack and thats about it. it will be running quite fast, and for quite a long time too.

you can get quicker motors etc but I think you will find that for messing about in your living room/garden the std motor will be fine for a bit.

you will have to find a stick AM radio unless you have a secret talent for steer wheel radio's

changing any of the radio gear will mean you will have to change the whole lot, servo as well!

I have bought spare wishbones, shock towers and gears. As my control with a steerwheel is probably worse than yours ;D ;D

so i'll need to order a peak 6 cell racing pack at some stage, and some hooge motor? :) sure it'l be in the living room, but my cat is damn hard to keep up with :)

i put one of the peak turbo moters in the mini t today and got 31mph on the speed gun, not bad for a little thing (that was also with a quantum, 40mhz, and 7.2 batt pack) ;D ;D ;D ;D

If i was to get one would i have to buy it with all the READY to RUN bits or do they do one thats a rolling chassis and if i was to put my electronics in it i would also have to by a mini servo does 1/12 scale mini servo's fit in it.

Well, after some extensive testing last night, the car is ace on wooden/laminate flooring right out of the box.

I did have to increase the pre-load on the rear shocks so that it didn't bottom out on the jump. about 5mm was good.

the kit tires have superb grip and the best bit is...

... they pick up the dust, its sticks to the tires, so when I am going to do some cleaning... just get out the mini-t and hey presto! clean floor!

I think it would be more fun if there was less grip, power sides and trailing the brakes into corners would be ace.

ok,i took the rear shocks apart,glued the rubber seal onto the shaft at the top,put some sticky silkolene rg2 grease in there and it creates a little stiction,not too much grease as it comes out of the bottom..unless you have 2 spare rubber seals and glue them in the bottom of the cartridge,i saw this on the micro site so its not my idea but it works ok until i get some shocks sorted out

regarding cells ive made a 7.2v 1300mah af size saddle pack..looks neat in the truck and fits very nice where the old 4 cell pack went,im gonna leave the stock electrics until i get another servo.

ive also put ballraces in the stub axles,just going to have alook at the gearbox now and maybe put some sticky grease on the geared diffs.
