XXX-4 Pinions

Just off the phone ordering my new Losi XXX-4 G+, I was just wondering if someone out there could enlighten me on the pinions. Are they long or regular boss? Will the pinions I use on my RC-Lab TC be ok They are TIR ones?

I have downloaded the manual and it says to run a 21 tooth pinion, the smallest I have is 24 I assume it will be ok? The track is rather small which is why I am asking if I will need maybe 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 tooth pinions.

just regular pinions will be fine. you dont need short boss or long boss or anything special like that

I have used 16 - 20 quite regularly (with the 92 spur). though with other motors you may need to gear up more than that. (I'm running LRP Fusion motors)

not sure about your RC-Lab car, I would imagine so, not many cars that I know need special pinions.

I ran a 16 pinion with a 92 spur at the worlds, this was a large dirt track. this was using an LRP 10xsomething a few others that I know were running 17's and 18's again with a 92 spur.
