Why are these links not allowed ? I was only trying to help someone who had asked a question - I wasn't trying to advertise them as being the best thing since sliced bread or anything.

Unfortunately for you that is the site owners policy, it is clearly stated in the rules. You are quite at liberty to name the source if its helpful, and it is preferred, though not always possible, for that source to be a UK one. If the member so chooses, he can Google it or what ever. There is nothing to stop you from supplying full and detailed information by PM.

OK, thanks for the information, I will play by the rules from now on - promise !! Sorry.

Hey Funkmaster,

Marcus was kind enough to leave the source in.
(speaking as someone who has had their wrists slapped) :(
If there is a UK source, I'd also be interested. ;)

Yeah my fault for not reading the rules, sorry. That is the only source of them that I know of. Someone was selling a pair on a certain auction site and I asked who they were made by. He gave me the link to that site.

OK, I've PM'ed enough, checked the rules (again) so I think I'm OK:

The Uk distributor RD Logics is Microtech Racing. Website can be gained via the BRCA link page. They don't list the housings anymore, but by their admition, the web is being updated and the stock is not up to date.

I have a set of these but from the US, I phoned Microtech Racing and they said that they had sent them back to RD as the QA was not very good on them.
(They have to be trimmed a little in the grooves where the bearings sit as when you put the two halves together they pinch and bind the bearing it looks like a mould has been made from the plastic ones with out any thought of the tolereneces of the bearing grooves).
Apart form that they are very good no more stripped threads just a little bit more heavy though but not a problem with a TC3 FT.

Spot on, hate the threads striping, especially on my NTC3!

If you are always stripping threads in the gearbox houses, try the Warpspeed housings, they have a heli-coil in them for the screws.
I believe the RD Logics housings were designed for the NTC3, not the electric version, hence the extra weight.
