What is the diiference between the diamond tip, and the standered one?
Also, why does the diamond tip cost so much??

A diamond tip is much more free cutting because it is harder and sharper. Given due care, it will last an exceptionally long time. It is expensive because its made of diamond (never cheap!!) and the costs involved in creating the required cutting edge - diamond is difficult to machine!
