Hi.

I have purchased a brand new Xray T1 [the origional]. My son runs an Xray T1raycer.

I notice the shocks on the front of the T1 are different length to those on the T1R. Is there a reasson for this?
Could I not just put new longer shock absorbers on the front of the T1 as there seems to be a place for them. Also will it be of any benefit or will the T1 be perfectly acceptable as is.
I am new to driving but do like a car which handles well in into and out of corners.

Can anone help???????

I had a similar problem, not realising I had bought the wrong springs for the T1, if you see the SPRINGS thread alot of people gave good advice to me.

;D

Thanks for the info. However the springs are the same that came with the car [in the kit] . The actual shock absorbers are shorter. It probably is for some reason known to Xray when the car was produced. However I will check out SPRING threads as suggested.

Thanks.

You can either retro fit the longer shocks, or you can do as I did on the original T1 & fit the optional aluminium spring retainers which differ from the plastic part & allow usage of the Evo 2 type springs. I don't remember the part number , but I seem to recall the only cost me about £4 or £5.

On an xray T1 does anybody know if longer springs at the front would make much difference. I am seriously considering going for a C hub kit in any case but would like some info on this short springs that come with the xray t1

Cheers
