Hi
can anyone give me some advice on rebuilding a .21 pro engine for a thunder tiger eb4 s2.
I can get as far a removing the crank cover but how do i remove the con rod off the crank etc.

need to remove head, liner then slide piston sideways to remove conrod from crank.

I have got the head off, how do i remove the liner it seems quite firm and i dont want to apply too much force.

They can get a bit stiff, try heating the crankcase with hot air or water: usually works for me.

I have managed to get the liner out and the piston, thanks.
The reason it was so tight was the piston had damaged the top of the exhaust port and slightly distorted the liner, when i did finally get the liner out the liner has scored the engine wall, is this critical or can i just file the edges off the marks so thr new liner fits easier?
Where is the best place to get replacement parts?
And lastly should i replace the bearings at the same time?
Sorry for all the questions i dont want to make a simple mistake.

you should consider a new engine and long term it may well be cheaper

You have just confirmed my feelings Mark Christopher, the engine is a spare so i am in no imediate rush just thought it could be rebuilt as a back up.
Looks like it will end up on display in bits, bit of engineering to be appreciated in those engines.
