Ok I brought a Novak GTB Brushlees and I am well impressed.
The manual is great on telling you how to set up the various options but it doesn't explain their meaning and what affect that will have if I change them.
Can anyone please explain the following terms and what effect changing them will have. Or point me too a web site that can help me.
1. Minimum Brake
2. Drag Brake
3. Dead Band
4. Minimum Drive
5. Drive Frequency
Many Thanks

Minimum brake is the amount of braking you will get for the first movement of the stick.
Drag brake will give you brakes when your stick is in neutral.
Drive frequency changes throttle response, lower numbers more punch, higher numbers less punch but more control in low grip conditions.
Minimum drive is the amount of forward movement you get for the first movement of the stick.
Dead band is the amount that you need to move the stick forward or backwards before the throttle or brakes work.

Drag Brake emulates the off power braking effect you get from brushed motors. Particularly evident with high advance motors (eg 19-turn) you'll feel the magnets slowing the car down as you let off the throttle into a corner.
Now a brushless system will just run on. Try spinning the transmission with it hooked up and you'll see what I mean. The drag brake setting allows you to adjust how much initial braking you get as you come off the power. I've adjusted it one setting at a time until I'm happy. Would need to go check the pretty lights to work out what I ended up on :o
Minimum Drive Frequency determines the first level of throttle you get. I had a great tip from a CML team driver to lower this from the stock setting of 3 to the lowest setting of 2. Has improved low end throttle response and feel no end :D
Drive Frequency only applied if running the GTB in brushed mode.
I don't adjust anything else!
Hope that helps

Many thanks both for info.
I have had a play and will see how it goes on Thursday. Im very happy just need a little more stopping power, as I found I was over running on some corners as the car wasnt braking as hard as I would of liked.
Just like to understand all the technical meaning aswell and what they are supposed to do.
Thanks Again
