Stick to your XXXS shocks Chris, there's nothing wrong with them and they're the right size already. If you want to upgrade go for the threaded bodies.

can you get specific aluminuin threaded shocks for the XXXs and do you think that getting some good quality 30wt or 35wt oil will make them smoother

You just buy the threaded bodies and nuts, like on the Graphite version. I always use branded oil instead of the no-name stuff you sometimes get in kits.

As far as I am aware, Losi, Associated and Yokomo supply the same oil in their kits as they package seperately.
The only reason I wouldn't use it is if it is the wrong weight.

Well, my £99 BC came with brown foamy sludge which claimed to be 30wt. That went straight into the bin. But my SD came with a nice little pot of #400 - also unopened though, since I run with wt oils.
#400 means 40wt
#450 means 45wt etc
