I did the Winter Series there yesterday and Tqed and won with this setup. I ran 40wt on Grey springs on the back, and 45wt on Blues on the front. The carpet is quite grippy so too soft will just make you roll. Richard Barton was 2nd and ran a very similar setup, except he was a little softer on the back cause he was struggling for grip.

Might be a good idea to clarify what series people are talking about. Si is refering to the Buggy series yesteday, and i am guessing that the others are talking about the touring series.............

Well if its the Touring series - I ran T27s last year, and Yellow springs lent right in with no roll bars. Its a bit of an old set up now (December 2002) and I have a copy if anyone wants it.

I say "old" as we've learned a lot about roll centre spacers and the like, and I've not been able to run indoors on T27s since.

Will be at the BRCA AGM so cannot be at either the Watford or BLRCC opening rounds - shame.

Good luck

Mark - Any chance I could get a copy of that set-up?

Thanks

Just e-mailed it to you Stuart.

Hopefully I'll get a couple of chances to run on T27s and/or carpet dragons this month (our local club runs on astro-turf). By then I'll know a lot more about a current set up - we've learned a lot outdoors this year, and have yet to put it into practice indoors. Like roll-centres for example...

Thanks Mark, now I just need to adjust that to suit my Axis.

No problem - an Axis 1 or 2?

I used to race both indoors, and whilst its more likely I've thrown the old set up sheets away there is a chance...

It would be modified and on T27s, and before I knew as much about chassis set up as I do now (which might not be saying much ::))

LOL, Its an Axis 1 (hopefully Mission Carbon at Xmas) ;D
Will you be at Watford on 23rd?

i would suspect that it may well work reasonably well. I still have a couple of set-ups that i use that come from the base that came from the axis 1/2. At Watford last year i had one car that was really good, but the other took a bit of work. ::)

The Mission Carbon has just been ordered!!! Lets hope my mum lets me use it now and not have to wait until December 25th!! ;)

Sorry guys - I'll be at Lowestoft for their second round on the 23rd. A lot closer than Watford for me!
