Hey all.
Just got my Tobee Driveshafts in the post this morning. (Woooooo) at a very reasonable price too... ANYWAY!
My question is, I have heard that a lot of people have sheered them on the front... so should I put mine on the front or not? I have put them in the rear already and they fit very snuggly... Although I think the pin onto the outdrive is slightly narrower (have to measure that) ... Anyway...
Tobbe Driveshafts in the front, yes or no? and please a "why?" explanation...

Many people have snapped the front ones. . . . .I would only run it in the back and keep the stock steel ones up front. If you are a very good driver and don't crash very often then, yes, do put them up front.

Hmm... Well I dunno, i've fitted them to the rear...
Suppose I got to try them in the front and if they sheer... I wont use them anymore ...
Saves 10.8 grams if you put 4 in on the car... good for drive train...

Phynyxun. Greetings from Malta.
I run Tobee driveshafts front and rear. This with 9 and 10 turn motors and a front spool.
I have broken some. but only after leaping off a banking and landing on power. Under those sort of conditions anything will snap.
Normal driving. No problem.

I'm pretty sure to say I dont crash much, but im not syaing ima good driver.
I am going to try the front ones in at my local club tonight. If they break then fine I shall not run them anymore... But I need to find out...
But I got them for like £4.50 a set... so its not really worth thinking about if I break one.
Will try, see how it goes. At club I am running 11x2 ... so it shouldnt take that much of a hammering.
Thanks John.

SPOOL.
I made my own, but I would love to hear of someone that does them professionally.

Its like having a solid axle. It gives a LOT more traction due to no diff action, but has less steering because of the wheels binding a lot when turning. Good for tracks with low traction and long straights.

I've been looking everwhere for a Yokomo SD spool. . . . . Yeah, I would want someone to make one professionally.
