are ceramic bearings desirable hop ups?having seen what a beutifully running transmission can be had by using these i must admit they have got to be the things to have.
perhaps someone who has first hand experiance with these would give us some insight into the cost ,practicallity, availability,of this type of bearing.

very expensive and unless your a TOP driver doubt you will know the difference in the car. deff not a must have. better off spending money on better engine or lighter/stronger car parts also more fragile than steel ones. i dare say none of the top ten in the classes use them!

cartman, have you actually used any?
I bought a set of ceramics for my race car, and once run in the difference to the drive train was amazing. ud be hard pushed to tell the differenc between this belt drive and a shaft drive when rotating the spur gear.
I highly recommend using them, they free up the whole drive train, and if u buy from the guys i did, u get a 1 season 16 meeting guarantee, and replcements if they fail.
More fragile than steel ones?!! haha come on............. the're 14 times harder, PLEEEAAASE.
So cartman, can you stop posting opinion instead of fact?!
Thank u

OK 1st thing 1st
read the rules and stop using text speak or face a ban!

secondly yes i have used them and the above was my findings. the balls may be harder but the steel cages are the same!
you also need to remember we allow people to post opinions as well was fact!!

Sorry to point this out but "deff" isn't a word, its an abreviation used in "text speak" for definatly.
