Hi,

I'm in a bit of a dilemma as to whether we should camp or find a B&B for this weekends STCC event at Bedworth. Is there anyone else contemplating camping by the track?

When we visit Bedworth in all Seasons we camp and dont have a problem.

There is a bar on site that sells hot food and there is a chippy near by also the bar is open till 11.00, so you wont be cold utill 11.15, then you will only be cold when you have to answer the call of nature at around 02.00 then half past then every other half hour, then its light and you can start practice at about 05.00

So the answer is stop in a BB the bathrooms are always warm Lol :p

Only kidding camp at Bedworth (just in case uncle Bob thinks iam having a dig)

I'll be camping as well, no money

Are their toilets open 24hrs?

I have looked at the site using Google Earth, and wondered where the camping will be, I know Bob Burr mentioned that if the ground is soggy it will be 'behind the pitches', but where does that mean?
It also says if it's dry and there is no rugby on, we will be able to camp on the pitch.
How can we find that out as there will be lots of gazebo's etc. as well.

Thanks

Like Nigel says camping is fine, please keep of the rugby pitches as with all the rain they will be soft, use the area behind the clubhouse between the pitches or hardstanding on the car park, the bar will be open lunchtime and evening on the Saturday.
No Generators and please tidy up your rubish unlike the idiots who came last Sunday for practice (yes i know who you are guys and i have a nice big smelly bag of rubish waiting to put in your car this sunday).

Ok, will Gazebos be allowed partially on the pitch on race day?, I'm just thinking of how close we can be to the track as the pitch appears to be almost up against it. Or will they also have to be between the rugby pitches?

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to avoid any embarrasment at the weekend :D

The actual carpark is pretty big and as stated before, please dont park or
set up tents etc on the rugby pitches.

There seems to be repeated concerns on this and other threads regarding
room for parking and tents etc, there is nothing to worry about. If you
go really mad and park as far away as you possibly could from the track, your
talking about no more than 100 yards, i would say however that no one
need be more than 50 yards away.

Simply nothing to worry about. Theres plenty of room, but please
keep off the rugby pitches.

Having raced at a couple of BTCC rounds at Bedworth I can concur with Michael, THERE is plenty of room for everyone, just be sensible when parking
