Hi
has anyone heard of these inexpensive threaded shocks,
i am thinking of buying some for my xxx-s g+ as i cannot fill the others to save my life !!!
i have been told these are good but because the xxxs uses shorter shocks at the front i am wondering if the handling will suffer
please help
Thanks Mike

ive tried associated shocks on mine, and the rear was fine, but i could only get 10mm ride height on the front, so i went back to losi's. I think you will need a shorter shock on the front

10 mil :o
wow that's loads

myne is miles too low at the moment anyway,
5mm with the shock collar down as far as possible
i'll give them a go and hope for the best.
thanks Mike

I would stick with the Losi shockers, there is a thread here - http://www.rcracechat.com/forum/index.php?board=52;action=display;threadid=4792 that goes into a fair bit of depth on how to fill the shockers well.

I personally think that the Losi shockers are good and not too hard to fill, but you do need to keep them smooth - refilling them every 2 or 3 weeks keeps them at their best. Just don't put too much oil in (over the threads) or they really will feel terrible.

If it ain't broke don't fix it! The Losi shocks are fine!

yip. plus you'l only ever be a question away from a reasonable set up, as everyone else will be running them.

Hi
"if it ain't broken don't fix it, the losi shocks are fine"
true words but if you can't get something to work properly your not going to leave it are you, if i can't get these to work without using half a gallon of fluid a shock then i have to start looking for some shocks that will.
i simply just don't like the losi ones and i know i'm not the only one so i want to know what the topcad ones are like.
thanks Mike

is it not possible to put some sort of bleed screw in the shock body to assist you if things are getting that bad?

I have a set of associated shocks that I have put bleed screws in the top, and they make life quite a lot easier . . .

out of interest, what do you mean you'r using a lot of shock oil? is this excess oil that bleeds out, overfill, or are the shocks leaking? how old are they? i've not redone my shocks since august, and theyre still spot on! i find the top filling shocks like the ae and yoke varients so much more difficult to get smooth and air free? ???

Hi
when i say waste loads of fluid i mean when i try to fill the shocks somehow the fluid will oooze out, go everywhere and leave me with shock oil everywhere but in the actual shock, i have tried going by the very good instructions given to me on here but still cannot get the knack of it.
leaving me wanting to ditch the shocks altogether :'(
