Hi there
Can anyone tell me if buyin the anodised steering rack and the ballraces will improve the speed of my steering and improve my handling. Also anyone know if the threaded anodised shocks are any better than the standard ones?

Yes it possibly will but it will be very very insignificant.
As for the Threaded shock I couldn't tell you I run the stand ones on my G+ and I have no problems with them.

The only thing that will make a noticeable difference to the speed of your steering is a decent servo.

There have been several discussions on that topic in the Speedos and Radio Gear section .
Have a look in there, you should find all the info you need.

I would say that ball racing the steering would be a good idea, you may only need occasional lubing of the bearings where are the plastic bushings seem to wear a bit
The steering rack would only really be for show ;) ;D

Ballracing the steering is a good idea, makes it a little bit smoother. Losi should have put them in from the start - like they do on the G+. I have Tamiya bearings out of the TA series cars in mine.
As far as servos go, I run a Ko Propo 2173, it's quite expensive but is very good, I have never had any trouble with it or any other Ko radio gear. If you don't want to spend too much money, get a Ko Propo 712 or 713, they are only around £50-60 and probably the best for the money. If money is no object though, I would have a look at the new Ko programmable servos. Haven't tried Futaba or Sanwa servos so couldn't comment on those.

The Ballraced steering will eliminate some slop in your steering thus making it more responsive and precise, thats it, nothing else. But there ain't no point if the ball cups are sloppier than a sloppy thing on a very sloppy day, so make sure you got new ball cups on the steering links too.

Please do not start a discussion on the merits of different servos here.

I would just like to say i have tried the alloy steering parts and have gone back to plastic due to their more snug fit on the bearing, which aids in slop.
