Hi All
New to the group, used to race but now back in to it as my son is old enough to race, thinking of going for a mission (carbon),
Be honest! is it an astounding difference in handling and well worth the extra £50?
My son has already got the 'S1' which we are currently building, so the carbon would be for me!
Cheers

The carbon chassis is
A lighter
B Stiffer
The main difference will be that the carbon car will respond better to set up changes because the reduction in chassis flex. It will ultimatly alway be quicker if it is set up properly, but the S1 will be more tollerent of a bad set up and a little easier to drive.
If you are a beginer go for the S! if you have enought experience to set the car up well go with the carbon car.

to be honest mate unless your going to be racing at national level etc you dont really need the carbon car. for the above reasons. the S1 mission is a more than adiquate car for club driving.

I have recently changed from S1 to Carbon and the carbon is every thing that the the above replies have said. Plus the car is easier to set up as the stiffer carbon chassis does not twist as much and so the unequal weight distribution does not affect things as much.
Will a carbon chassis make a beginner go any faster? No.
Would I recommend that you buy one? Yes.

I use my S1 indoors on a polished wood floor because the flex seems to help with grip. I have also bought a carbon chassis for three reasons;
a complete car of spares
carbon chassis for tarmac racing
the price (grab one while you can)
i cannot belive how cheap they are its crazy !!!
monder if people will be able to get a mi2 for 100 quid - lol

At my local track, I used the S1 chassis, another person was using the carbon chassis, but eventually changed because the car was much better with the S1 chassis.
I suppose, if you know how to set your car up well your best off with the carbon chassis, but the S1 is very competitive aswell!

Thanks for all your replies folks.
Yes, the mission in both forms is shockingly cheap.

I think it's more, "At the rate Schumacher drop their prices...buy one next summer"
Not really a bad thing unless you buy one straight away and pay the initial price, but at least this time the car looks worth £250!

agree with you liam the new mission does look like it is worth the £250 price tag but not sure if iam gona change the mission just yet, because it is still reliable and able to turn out the results when it counts. plus with the fiber-lyte chassis on it i find it is super responsive through the corners.
