Hi I will be the 1/18th rep at High Wycombe Mini Stox Club when we get the nite up and running in the new year.
Racing will be every monday nite, however only every other week will count towards the series.
rules will be a maximum of 7.2 volts and the standard 180 motor, any other hopups are allowed as long as it is 'in keeping with the spirit of the sport'.
We have a large perminant indoor venue in High Wycombe which includes a large circuit layout which get changed every month, lots of pit space all with 240 volt, toilets and a nice kitchen serving hot and cold food and drinks.
www.hwmsc.co.uk (http://www.hwmsc.co.uk) <-- if you would like any more info about the club or PM me or Michaella!
p.s. we will be allowing any 1/18th chassis to compete!
Thanks

How much is it a night and could you say what types of cars are allowed pleeeeeeeeeeease, as I would like to know.
You should put down the Maximum width allowed
Quick, someone measure the width of a mini-t ;D
Is there any chance of you guys running a mini-t heat?
If so, I'm sure that Chris Doughty and myself will be up for that, not to mention others.

Until such time as there are hard and fast rules regarding overall sizes of tyre track with, wheel base, wheels, tyres etc. I think the the club will go with popular opinion.
So Lewis or Kat correct me if I am speaking out of turn.
Bring down what you want to race on Monday nights in January from 12th January 2004 and we will see what the most popular classes appear to be through out the month and thrash out some rules for February.
As this class is pretty new I think we are going to have play it by ear for a few weeks and accept that rules are up for review at the end of each month.

That's a good idea to have the rules thought over again at the end of each month.
Do many people turn up to the meetings and could you tell me the types of cars allowed.............e.g.............micro rs4 and whatnot.

We havn't had any 1/18th scale races yet at the club, they will kick off on Monday the 12th of January 2004 and every Monday night hence forth.
All I know for certain is that there will be 2 HPI micros racing with 1 other driver owning one and considering racing and 2 more seriously considering getting cars to race.
As for what we allow, after brief discussions with Lewis and Kat to start with we will be allowing any commercially available 1/18th scale car with the 180 motor and 6 cells. As for changing the rules there after we will guided by the popular opinion of thos who attend the races.
Monday nights will also be for racing 12th circuit and unlimited motor touring cars (ie. 540 size motor brushed or brushless).
It looks like the, from the response on this forum, that 18th scale could prove to be main class of the night.
If its 1/18th scale and you want to race it, come on down Monday nights in the new year doors 6:00pm booking in until 7:30pm (or by phone) and racing until 10:00pm (or there abouts)

DEMONic Evola: a race nite is 3.50 if you are a member and 4.50 if not (that is senior rates, junior rates are a quid cheeper!!)
oh.. one other thing that i would like to clear up is when we say 6 cells that is rechargeable.. i.e. no more than 7.2 volts
we race on a flat carpet circuit however for the mini ts (depending on drivers choice) we can produce a set of jumps and obsticles to make the circuit more truck friendly!!
as for the tourers as we said any chassis (the little x-ray fella included!!)
Thanks
hopefully see some of you in the new year!!

a spare bit of carpet layed down 'rippled' makes an ace 'whoops' section
a few bot dots or something like that scattered on the track just before the race would also be good
once I get m truck working with sticks I will come down, I am so talentless with a wheel! ::)
