Hi Steve i would like to know if the club will allow the new ZZ 27 turn stock motor as the standerd 27turn motors are hard to obtain as many inporters are holding stock of the new type which are deemed banned so what are club members supposed to do in the mean time while the B.R.C.A. sort out this problem as the ZZ motor is legal around the rest of the world but not in the UK so please advise
many thanks IAN

Sorry but please get your facts right - you are completely wrong on it being 'legal around the rest of the world' - it isn't even on Roar's approved list for use in their events and there are a lot of other countries around the world who use 27 turn and follow that.

sorry Mike i was told by TWO top distributors in this country of the info about them being legal around the rest of the world i was only passing on the info that was told to me but there is a shortage of normal 27T motors because a lot of the distributors were waiting for the new motor to be in stock but then they were banned i know of at least 2 companys that have spent over £2000 on the new motors and have them in stock right NOW but now they are USELESS

Hello Ian
Fairly certain this motor would've 'fallen foul' of BRCA requirements in 2005... Which is why its not on the ROAR list either... Certain it doesn't meet some basic 'can' measurement requirements... So I find it strange that importers have 'filled their cupboards' as such without seemingly having checked that it would pass muster....
I will though, however, double check this with EB eligibility officer... At the present time I would prefer its use to be avoided...

The reason being is that the epic and roar are getting very low on stock if they have any thats is and just asking because i can get hold of the new cans and motors quite easy thats all some suppliers have done so to make it legal to say commercialy available thats all with stock motors requirement

Steve/Ian
Is this discussion about the new Trinity CO27 Stock Motor, their Web Site mentions something about 'Z', or is it the one that was mentioned at Carpet Wars that I'd never heard of, Epic I think. If it is the Trinity does it also apply to the new 19T Komodo Dragon.
Cheers

If you are looking for a 27 or 19 turn Stock motor to race at BRCA events then the best advice I can offer is to wait until it appears on the list.
The ZZ motor was submitted but failed to meet the requirements as Steve has previously stated.
There are a number of motors out there that have yet to be released never mind being submitted and judging from the pictures it is quite likely that they will not pass the muster either. However, to be sure we will have to wait until they are submitted.
