Anyone know the answer, tried & tested both? Please help, any info greatly appreciated. ??? And why you chose the one you did!

i feel that the pt is better but that is just down to personal preference

From what ive heard it combines the revs of a kr with the punch of a ti, and it must be good as its won the last round of the olympiad championship! (well done Olly!)

Ive never compared, but the PT I have is much better than anything else I have tried of a similar wind.

pt 12 x2 that i ran on sunday was very good.

the 12 comes in 3 types, long euro track short euro track or std 12

i went for the std and it had a very nice feel to it

I am more impressed with the PT everytime I run them, awesome. Got a few now.

BUT, are they affiliated with BRCA to be allowed at 2004 nationals?

Cut from the latest electric board motor homologation list...

Reedy   Pt Platinum   CML   Yokomo.Silver can.Can indents with 3 slots. Quad Magnet.   Up-Right BrushesBlack End-bell.Uses Yokomo Arm.with 4mm or 5mm Web.Std.-size Com.   20/10/2003

So yes I guess it is

ran both last year as sponsered by CML, perffered TI to be honest, its a very good moter. its design suits the increased power from 3300 bats. the PT at top level seems to overheat and performance can drop. found this with the KR as well (so did most of the team). but do try one to experiment.

some advice though run a TI with high timing and a PT with low timing but run simular gearing.

Colins tip is a good one, but if u dont want to go through brushes and motor's like theres no tmrw dont try the high timing.
But if you want it to fly then burn away.

the burning refers to if you try to touch the motor after it been ran.

My timing on my PT is as supplied, no problems, can get a full meeting out of it without a skim if the track is not to 'stop start'. but I am using it in Off-road, what about everyone else here?

what series are you doing next year colin, im racing the btcc with my brusless motor. I did 20:308 with it rnd bedworth not to slow. Still think I can take 4 or so seconds off that, not bad for the winter.

Bedworth are also looking at modifying there track layout so it will be more flowing, thus kilingl the motors and tyres less and more fun to race at. We are just waiting for a price to come back. The only corners that will be unchanged hopefully will be the hairpin and the sweeper. Two great corners in my opionion.

I haven't tried any PT's, but i would think that they have more RPM than a Ti, although probably slightly less torque.

Luke, Interesting you say you want to make it so the track is easier on motors, but you are leaving the hairpin.......................... :- although it is probably one of my favourite tracks.

yes but thats only one corner and its a great place to overtake, it may get a litter bit wider if possible. Nearly ever corner involves alot of breaking.

Besides we dont want to make it to easy. Anyway it's not really done to stop people killing there motors it going to be alot more of a flowing track. If they dont want to kill there motors run brusless.

The PT needs gearing lower to cope with higher RPM and lower lb/sqft. Seems good, ideal for off-road it seems. I think Touring cars are hard on motors, difficult to find one to cope especially on a twisty track.

Far far better than the days of Sonic and Euro Sonic, which were a step back from the original Mr series, and I never figured out what turn was what - Mr.lucky dip.

alright luke!!

think ill be doing TORC MOD and either Nat Gas rubber or Mod Nats?????

glad to see the track changes never could get round the old track, a proper bogie one for me ??? dont know why!!!

ill have a go at brushless when their bit quicker i think!!

glad to see the harpins still there its about the only one on any track like it!!
