Hello

One of my ss5800 brushless motors makes an awful racket, i have tried swapping out the bearings from normal motors but it is not solved, are they the same size?

I seem to have a lot of float in the armature amd i am sure there is slight side to side in the bearing as well.

thanks

phil

Do Novak list replacement bears designed for that motor? If they do, buy some, and some armature shims too to remove some of the float.

Novak recently released a bearing/rotor upgrade kit, which is supposed to quieten down the motor (Velocity style endbell/bearing), and give it more torque (stronger magnet). Maybe worth looking into if your bearings have had it, shouldn't cost too much.
