We run the truggy about five times now and have not broken anything. We have been running the RTR kit, the first two times with the standard engine and the later an OPS 21.

We did take the pull start off and used the engine on a starter box for ease of use but you can leave the pull start on and still use the box.

The first two times we did not make any changes from the kit except re threadlock the normal screws that needed it. Then we oil in the diffs, grease was in as standard, went 5 5 1 the same as the S3.

Thinking about it after Harper Adams I would go up on the diff oil, maybe 50000 in the centre as I was getting a lot of bolloning on the front ties. The shocks are 50 front and 40 rear with black springs and maybe that should have been softer at Harper.

I am not the best at set ups and Jon is away until the new year so I will ask him for ideas then.

This is the first time I have driven a truck and it has surprised me how well it has run and handled.

Hi Stu

I think Ray is coming up on Sunday with his truggy (not a TTR one though)

I think these would be huge fun round our track.

Any sign of the redesigned front steering rod ends the yanks have been quite vocal about failing?

they have been been around for a while now. Same part number and look the same, however they now only have one hole. The other has been filled in.

Hey Stuey , i have read a lot about the ST1 all over the net in in the past few weeks and it strikes me the that the ST1 is one of the only trucks you can get out of the box and race with only small adjustments

Very tough, and the .28 is quick too
Just a few upgrades and its sorted , and being TT things are a lot cheaper than other makes
i cant wait to get my truck out and have some fun (i even thought of opening my track for a one off race day to get it dirty ! )

ran one first time today great little truggy except both brake discs shattered as they were missing completely when i returned to pits, i still got the pads and retainers in place and also had problems doing the wheel nuts up as you cant get a tool in on standard wheels to do up the nuts
