Folks,
for those of you who are interested in racing 1/10th off-road buggies then this may interest you.
One of my colleagues, Kenny Clark, asked Derek Kerr about the possibility of running 1/10th off-road buggies at the 2006 Scottish Indoor GP.
Derek's response was "Get me at least 10 names that are interested, even better get them to fill in an entry form and I will seriously consider it."
So if your interested then post your interests here
cheers

I would certainly be interested...
Whats the possibility of holding it on the Saturday before the Indoor TC GP at the same venue only with a few jumps. If this was the case i think you could count on at least 10 drivers from Northern Ireland immediatley.
If this isnt possible but is arranged for another weekend I would still be interested.

I reckon this could be a great idea. I know of at least 4 people who would be up for buggies aswell as tourers. Not sure though, if I'd beable to make a 2 day event due to work. I find it difficult to get both days at the weekend off - but I would try if it meant more racing, especially offroad.

Nice one John!
I was planning on heading down and running the touring car but if off road was on the same day then I'll head down with the B4 and stick the tc3 back in the cupboard!
So what are the options so we can start thinking about logistics? Tc and off road on the same day, off road Sat and on road Sun, 2 seperate weekends?

Hi guys.
It looks like Derek will let us run at the meeting if we can get 10 entries for Off Road.
I would imagine that we would be running 2 heats max of Off Road.
We would be running on the same day as the Tourers (12 Feb 2006)
I see it as a good opportunity to create some interest in Off Road amongst the On Road guys.
Go to the Dunfermline District Radio Car Club site and download an entry form.
Then fill it out and email a copy of it to Derek just so he can get an idea of the numbers interested.
It would be great to see Off Road make a comeback in Scotland so get those entries in guys!

So on that note, remembering that at the AGM the words Format NOT changing were used If we can get 10 1/12th circuit cars booked in, will we then just run the meeting on carpet.................

As far as I know the meeting will be run on the gym hall floor.
The Off Road heats will just be support races.

By the way at our AGM we discussed a Scottish Off Road Championship......any thoughts.......we will run 2 off road races in 2006 anyway so they could be rounds of a championship......

Yep I'm sure us lot at falkirk could hold 2 rounds aswell.
Could be good, one thing I would suggest is that any conversation about this is done in this thread.
If Ayr (Chris) are willing to hold 2 rounds aswell then I'd suggest that we run a best 6 rds of 6rds championship to encourage everyone to attend all the Rounds. Also that we have an entry-form that has all 6rounds on it & that entrants just tick & pay in advance for the meetings they wish to attend.

Hi
in theory we can run 2 rounds but i need somewehere concrete for a venue before i say more!
does anyone have the 2005 BRCA and SRCA calender so we can work round it?
chris
Should of been at the AGM diddy and you would have the SRCA dates, for those that werent tho here they are:
21/5 Falkirk
4/6 Dunfermline - Benarty
18/6 Ayr
2/7 Carlisle
16/7 Dundee / Dunfermline - Benarty
6/8 Stonehaven
20/8 Ayr / Carlisle - Carlisle
3/9 spare date.
A couple of the rounds will be hosted by two clubs, hence the way they are written above and the spare date at the end is incase any meeting needs to be rescheduled for whatever reason, ie monsoon weather again.

just a quick point having seen the dates and venues
will all the members from dunfermline\dundee be securing the use of benarty facility, as from what i gather having been there recently there appears to be none of the benarty club members using the site
and it has fallen into serious disrepair and will req a substantial amount of preperation to hold a meeting
