bearings will be the best hop up at first. ditch the msc for a esc and put a hotter motor on it. carson makes a hop up for the TL01 kit. get their heatsink for your car too.

Ok thanks,
I ordered the ballrace kit for my car today and i alreayd have a very large heatsink for it. Going to be also getting carbon main shaft and blue alloy threaded carson shocks. Gonna look realll nice!
I will eventually get a Reedy 19T Quad-Mag motor (the new one) but until i saved the cash i wont!! :(

You should look in the for sale adds and get some motors that way. If you esc will do the lower end turn motors, some guys had some 12 turn motors for very cheap. Don't get the lightened chassis, it will break. I didn't listen to a friend who told me that and I was racing mine and sure enough snap. Thank goodness for zip ties.

My speedo is designed for off-road racing as it very large, can take lots of voltage through it 6-7 cells. Although it can only go down to 15 turns. I thoguht it best to stick to a sensible fast winding like Super Stock 19T as the speedo should be able to deal with this windign easily.
I was reccomended by somebody to get a 17x2 Orion Pro BB but i've heard from many sources the new Reedy 19T is much quicker.
I have never even heard of the lightened chassis but yes i will stick with the current TL01B chassis.

It is a lighter grey color so don't get it. Your lhs might try to talk you into getting it but steer clear.

Ok i wont...
I just got a ballrace set and i have an esc and gear fitted that is ideal for off-road. Thinking of getting the threaded carson shocks for it. Managed to find a stockist on these, anybody had these or know what they are like????
Also.....are the carbon gear shaft and prop. shaft worth investing in???? I also heard that speed tuned gears are not suitable for the TL01-B (Baja Champ) is this correct or is it suitable for it???
(Sorry i just realised im repeating myself a bit, answer the questions please anyway!! lol)
thanks,
