Xray bearings

i was just wonder how you can keep the bearing free, coz when you clean them with the plastic seal off and reoil them they are very free but when you put the cap back on they are not very free.

Easy, only put one cap back on.

If you have the exposed side of the bearing protected by the cap and the other side open and cap free you get the best of both worlds - nice and free and some protection.

Also, only oil from the "inside" and use the absolute minimum so that none soaks through to the other side. This way the "outside" will stay dry and not be so likely to attract dirt etc in the first place.
