OK guys the 1/12th season is approaching what pre-season maintenance do you suggest for the 12M, I haven't looked at the car since early this year so cannot remember if anything was urgent or not.
Cheers Jason :)

I'd just strip it and remove all traces of carpet and crap, then re-lube everything. This is basically what i do before nationals. Also check pivot balls for exessive play.

Hi Matt what would you regard as excessive play I can move the ball part in and out a tiny amount but no side to side movement at all would this be ok, also how often do you replace the front damper parts and the side damper tubes & rods as mine are looking a bit worn.

I think side to side movement is most important, that was what i was thinking. Although i guess you don't really want any movement at all. Probably be ok if it's only a very small amount - some thick ish greese often helps.
I haven't ever replaced and damper parts either front or rear. However, looking at my car earlier i might get some new front tubes as they are starting to look a bit rough.

Cheers Matt i think I am desperate to get the car handling well again it started out really well and then regressed to the point where i was really struggling to keep it in a straight line on the track, tried all sorts new sets of tyres used once a meeting, cleaned the diff, new radio gear (in case) to no avail.
Jason :)
PS where do you get you spares from

I only tend to race nationals, so it's just easy for me to pick up anything that i want from the on site shop - AMC. They will do mail order though, i have mail ordered from them in the past.
