I'm going to get either a raycer or an evo2 tonight, what are the differences between the models?
I can see the main differences like the evo 2 has full carbon chassis and comes with the pivot ball suspension and c hub, but is there anything else?
Does the evo 2 come with an adjustable one way layshaft like the cat 2000. (the pin came out and it was a one way from a solid shaft)? or do you have to buy a solid one aswell?
Thanks

there are quite a few differences of which the most obvious is the chassis and component material (carbon vs composite) as you mentioned. The latest evo 2 foc comes with both types of suspension (pivot ball and c hub) the raycer only has c hub (by far the most popular i believe) apart from that then the differenves are very slight (raycer does not have adjustable centre pulley evo 2 does) evo 2 has more cell mounting options raycer has only saddle packs. Also the evo has more rear shock mounting positions which can be good or bad depending on your point of view. Hope this helps somewhat. Whichever you choose you will be happy im sure, i have both and they are both superb cars.

but off course you can for example buy a rayver chassis and buy the graphite shoch towers. that way you have evo2 shock towers on your raycer and have more shock mounting options.

Is it worth buying the Evo 2 and getting a racer for spares? What level of parts would be transferable?
The reason I ask is that I am in the market for a new car and like the idea of getting two cars and keeping one for spares...

Almost everything will work from one car to another the only difference will be some of the materials used

Why not get 2 of the same? Set one up for dry and one for wet...best of both worlds!
