Hi I have aquired some short 22mm or so serpent springs or the front short ones that used to go on the first x-rays, but I have no idea what the rates are, and I couldn't fined it on their site.
I have,
white
Orange
Brown
terracotta
red
sky blue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andrew

If you have a digital vernier caliper, you can do it yourself :D
Measure the wire diameter, and the outside diameter of the coil. Count the number of free coils and then go HERE (http://not2fast.wryday.com/chassis/spring_rate.shtml) and enter your data in the relevant boxes, hit the calculate button and the spring rate will be shown in the bottom box in lb/in.
There is no need to change the defaults for Youngs Modulus or Poissons Ratio.
I have no connection with this site, which is just one of several to be found.
Hope this helps, and have fun :)
