Which Cat?

If I was to start looking for a Schumacher Cat, which ones am I easily able to (still) get parts for?

Basically which versions are still supported, and for how much longer?


What sort of money (in UK £ for each version suggested) should I be thinking for (a) rolling chassis, or (b) complete car, ready to go?

Cat 3000 is obviously the current model so parts aren't a problem. As for older cars i really have no idea what parts they have in stock. I would suspect that any of the "EC varients" would be ok. Earlier than that?? really don't know. Suspect there are quiet a few shops out there with some stock, but again pure speculation.

I've seen from the Schumacher site that they list the Cat '98 and Cat 3000, so assume that these are the only supported versions.


What kind of money should I be looking at for these cars?

Just wondering what is an acceptable price. What would you guys buy/sell a 2000 or 3000 for?

Or is it better to go new? If new is better, can someone advise (via PM) best prices for a 3000 with/without electrics?

On the Schumacer site there is listings for lots of off road buggies, I recently was given a CAT 2000 Laydown for nothing.!!!
