I am just getting back into RC cars and have started going to a club for the first time.

I have a TL01 tamiya car with the following hop ups:

bearings, 27 turn motor, oil filled dampers, speed tuned gear set and a few others

I have thin (21 mm) wheels and mini pin tyres.

The problem I have is that whenever I take a tight corner the car judders around the corner - quite often one side of the car lifts up making the wheels spin in mid air. The car turned over once.
The bodyshell I had on then had no spoiler.

What is the best way around this? I have some aluminium low friction shocks on an TL01-B chassis that I plan to try next week. I also have a bodyshell with a spoiler that I am going to try.

Is this likely to help much - is there anyhting else I should be doing?

Thanks

Giles

well, obviously, the shell with a spoiler will help. What shell is it? Does it have a racing spoiler?

Racing without a rear spoiler makes alot of difference, even on high grip surfaces.

UI've never raced on a polished surface before, but all i can suggest is to try different setups, harder springs, softer springs, ride height etc, and note down the resultsyou get.
Make one change at a time, and see what happens.

Yeah I have a shell with a spoiler that I will try next time.

I've also ordered more of the low friction shocks so we'll see what happens with them as well.

Thanks for the post.

Hi Roaders,

may I suggest that you have the wrong tyres on there or the shock setup is wrong?
Also are you diff's working properly?

If the car judders/skips around the corner then the car isn't rolling correctly.
Try the things Psycho said but don't make the spring/shock set up too hard!
