Has any one found a good carpet set up that you fancy sharing,?
Ive got the rear shock tower on front-but it seems for carpet racing people are using the St'd front shock mounts.
Ive tried copying a few cml set-ups,but ive never been over happy with them, plus i run stock & a lot of the set ups are people using Mods..

Hi Steven,
Same problem I've had :) I'm trying out Anthony Potter's Setup for the Carpetmasters from the CML site.
I'm gonna be racing tomorrow night and doing ongoing adjustments, I'll let you know if I can get anything good out of it.
I'm also going to cruise top heat for some setups as there are at least 2 reg TC3's in there.
Sorry I can't be more help.

What tyres are you using, as that will alter the set-up requirements.

The problem with sharing set-ups is that everybodys driving style is different. My friend and I both drive a TC3 on exactly the same track, but have different set-ups. I run toe-in at the front, him toe-out, dfferent camber levels, different pinion sizes. So we could both offer you a set-up and neither may work.
The best thing to do is set it as per the instructions, drive it lots, see where you lose the most time around the track and then make changes to counter that problem.
Driver ability counts for far faster lap times than any set-up tweak you can carry out.

Surely you lot (Experienced carpet racers) have put on a set of tyres and gone.. OMG what have I done!! Well if you have share your views I for one would love to learn from you.
Or maybe you have found the optimum spur/pinion setup for short indoor tracks running in 27T stock class, again I dont have a clue but would love to learn from the wiser driver.
I must admit I have been looking around here for the last two weeks and posting for the last couple of days and I am finding that the sharing of set up info is more closely guarded info than the coka cola blend! So come on help us new guys out.

There - You've got the best advise.
The TC3 works straight out of the box if you build it as the instructions. If it doesn't, you've got something wrong.
