I have a TL01 that I have quite a few hop ups on and have recently started racing at my local club. I also have a TL01-B that I play with in my street.

At my last race meeting I ran out of cells (I only had 3 second hand ones) so I paid £170 for 6 sanyo 3000 mAH packs.

When I tried to put one of these packs in the car it doesn't fit!!! Well it does fit but it is really tight fitting it through the hole in the chassis - I really have to push.

Is there a solution for this - have I wasted £170? WHat should I do?

Hope someone can help

Thanks

dumb question but are the new sets set up as saddles?? as i dont think the tlo1 will take anything other than sticks/side by sides...170 for 6 sets of cells is a bit steep but not to bad.....

THey are sticks - they do fit it's just that the plastic ends of the stick only just fit through the oval hole in the TL01 chassis.

The sticks I got are the sanyo ones listed here:

Thanks for the reply.

the plastic covers on the ends of the sticks are probably alittle larger then what your used to, its not a big problem, just an annoying one. i cant think of any solutions to this, so anyone have any ideas?

It seems a bit drastic but I got a file and had a go at the chassis. There were ridges in there that made it difficult sliding the sticks in and out. After I had got rid of the slightly raised surfaces it was much easier. You still have to push a bit but it's much better.

If you look at normal tamiya batteries, they are slick on one side and have the connector on the other with the buldge. Only on the TL01 have I ever had problems with other aftermarket batteries. My Wild Dagger has the same chassis sort of and those batteries fit with no problem whatsoever.
