Hi All,
Has any body while building there diffs found that they tighten up when you check the diff action after a couple of turns, the diffs are clean and everything is flat and smooth so it should be fine but as i say they do tighten up when turning one of the outdrives.

Firstly the obvious one, are you sure you're not holding the screw head as you turn the outdrive? This is unlikely though.

Another possibility is, what centre plates are you using? If it is the aluminium ones as supplied in the kit then this may be your problem as they are too thick. We originally made ours thinner which helped but they still heated up and expanded in use which then locked the diff.

If not and you are using delrin ones the I don't really know, one thing I will say is that I don't use corally diff grease in them as I don't like it I prefer the Losi/Associated style stuff which is white and comes in a thing like a toothpast tube only on a very much smaller scale. The corally stuff in my opinion is not viscous enough which gives the diff a dull feeling action.

mine was becoming undone when tested. I decided to check the diff again after reading this post and managed to snap the screw :D . I had original got it almost locked up for a quick solution for a spool but it seems to have backfired.
