Guys I am new to RC cars I fly heli's I had a race around the track and Brooklands recently (more of a poodle round the track really) and I striped my steering servo after a extremly minor clip with the barrier.
I want to replace it with something half decent around the £45-65 price range thats less likely to break in a minor ding. Whats your recomendations thanks guys.

Hello,
Hitec are a decent make, pretty good value and very reliable.
We`ve ran these for about 2 years without any failing in our Nitro Touring cars..........

either a futaba s9402, or ko ps712.
its gota be 6v so no ko fet 7.2v ones :(
TBH spend the money on a real top notch servo like the ko ps 2173,2143 hitec 5925, or my fav the sanwa erg vr
The speed difference on using a high quality servo will make the car much more responisive and easier to drive.

The reason why some well informed people haven't bothered to asnwer is probably each will have their own "favourite" servo and you'll end up with about "20" different answers. So you'll still be non the wiser. From a personal point of view use Hitec.

Hi, we had this problem only last weekend of stripping servo gears after a minor knock on the front wheels, so i would check that you havn't overtightened the servo saver on the steering rack as on inspection of ours it was far too tight, after slacking off the problem has gone away.
Hope that helps,
