Entry is now filling up fast for 'our' next meeting... Suggest, that if you wish to race, enter on-line asap :) .
As a reminder the 'Burger Van' will NOT be in attendance this week :( . Paul is away on a much needed holiday, so I am advised by his 'better half' :) . Only meeting he has missed since joining us and it will be business as usual for the rest of the year.
BIG gap between meetings? :( ... I had set aside the Bank Holiday date for either a replacement date, had we 'lost' either of the first two summer dates to inclement weather or to have a 'Bonus Meeting'. Un-fortunately, at present, I'm experiencing a few problems away from racing and was therefore not in a position to organise an extra meeting for the Bank Holiday weekend.
Practiced at the club in the last week or two? Then you will have seen that the council have dragged the burnt out vehicle from the grass into the 'pit area' ... I have contacted the parks patrol and asked that they try and arrange for its removal sometime this week. But I'm not holding my breath...
Hopefully weather will be kind to us and see you all Sunday... Gates open @ 07:30hrs.

Steve, will my membership be available for me to start my dismal points collection on Sunday? ;)
I sent the forms etc off 2 weeks ago (I'm not complaining about anything being slow, I'm sure your very busy and I know cheques have to clear etc.), it's just that I would like to start 'proper' this weekend.
Thanks
Skiddins

Hi
I did try and PM you but your inbox was full...
Yes you are a 'current' member... Possibly been a delay in receiving your BRCA card due to intervening Bank Holiday..
I'll e-mail you before Sunday re your club membership details.

Yeah, I noticed the car. It makes an interesting erm... "feature"? I would have thought that the council would have a responsibility to remove it asap, especially considering that the park is used by families with children, and that there will no doubt be plenty of kids there on Sunday. I would have thought it's a bit of a safety risk in that respect.
Hi Steve,
I know I have asked this already in the past, but could it be possible to post the list of participants for coming Sunday  ?
About the burned-out car? At least they didn't put it on the track. Might be a good test for the (new?) local council after the elections (haha :p ).
See you Sunday.

Steve,
Do you have a strong rope or steel wire? I can pull this thing away if you like.

As the 'Mod' National is only a couple of weeks away. If there is enough interest in the morning, on this occasion, I will add one extra heat for this class only...
Huub
I might just take you up on that offer.
Thanks
Steve
Hi Steve,
Will be at the track (very) early 7.15-ish.

Well, after a 12 year hiatus from any R/C racing I attended my first on-road race.
I suffered the usual highs and lows of racing, which will hopefully level out in future.
Improved through the day only to have an errant piece of very thin 2 inch long rusty wire intermittantly jamming my motor (not found until after the meet). This certainly helped me achive a pants result in the finals :(
Oh well, it's F3 heat 2 again for me next time as well then. :o
Still, I had a great time, and you never know, the guy who managed to persuade me to get back into RC might actually bother getting his car ready to race :D
By the way, what would be required to improve to F2 in a class?
Thanks

In general, the top few drivers in the F3 championship will move up to F2 for the following year, and the top few in F2 will move up to F1.

Hi
I Just wanted to say thanks to all the organisors for Sundays meeting (5&6) I had to work really hard all day just to keep the car going because it was certainly "one of those days" for me but I really enjoyed the day :) (yet again)also a big thanks to those who helped me out as well. :D
