Not sure if this means you're standing down Jon - if so my thanks for all you've done for us in the last three years.

Seems to me we had this coming, having watched a ridiculously small number of people run national level meetings with no help. Other "clubs" have a larger body of people to call on volunteers from.

Personally I'll mourn the passing of club membership and its free practice, having spent many a pre-season Saturday and Sunday at Snett getting set up and gearing right. I wouldn't have won the first BRCA, BTCC and STCC meetings this year without it.

If that's how its got to be, then ok

Cheers Jon,
Mark

Sorry guys you can't get rid of me that easily. I'll still be running the meetings, it's just that the general admin. and certain other stuff is now centred at the shop.

Sad to here Jon, I have always enjoyed the meetings at Snetterton and even though I run the Lowestoft club have usually offered my help, as I know how few people you have and having run meetings for you know exactly where you are coming from. And my offer of help will always be there.

I will admit I don't get over as much as I would like to and am hoping to do some of the Nub Nuts rounds if I can get hold of some tiers. so I can't comment on the problems you have been having on club meetings and "club members" so I hope the track keeps going strong and keeps it much enjoyed nationals.

Andrew, i think we're one of the luckier clubs, where a strong, loyal, and helpful set of members are to hand. Location of the club helps, think about it, in an urban area, surrounded by houses, so plenty of poeple within a 2 mile radius (that includes me, im about 5 minutes walk away).

Wheras at Snetterton, there arent so many houses nearby, due to the rural (but lovely) location, so maybe members have/had to travel 10 miles or more, and for such an Early booking in time, they cant be bothered to get up at 6:30 or earlier just to go racing. Its a shame, but its reality.I'm not saying that Snetterton doesn't have the same qualityof members, its just the geographical location of members in relation to the track.

Jon, you've got my support!

After all that has gone on over the last few months, It gives me great pleasure to announce that all the sections of the BRCA who have used the track for Nationals in 2003 are returning for 2004. This means we will be holding both Stock and Modified Electric Nationals, Scale Rubber and Foam IC Nationals.
Schumacher will once again be returning with the BTCC series and HPI are returning with a round of the HPI Challenge, and Tamiya are returning with a round plus the finals of the Eurocup.
I for my part will endeavour to run these meetings in a friendly and controlled manner.
Hope to see you all at sometime or another during 2004.

Yep, I'm there for BTCC.

I'd like our club to have the same sort of facilities as SMMCC, pity there just isn't the support over there.

Good luck for 2004 Jon. :)
