According to the BBC the weather is going to be kind to us on Sunday.

Looking out the window i would beg to differ! However just checked the Met office out and it's true, high of 15 degrees celcius, 3 degrees lower than last sunday (which was very nice) but still good :). Checked out the barometer aswell and the pressure is rising quite rapidly, no massive dodgy looking cloud cover approaching on the sattelite images either - should be a cracker!

I would just like to say thankyou for all those yesterday who gave up their time to run another very good meeting which was just as good as the first round at west london (maybe even better as the weather was great in the afternoon too!!)

Well Rob i cant tell you the top 5 in every class but i can tell you the 27t class top 5

1. Ricky Copsey (tq as well)
2. Andy East
3. Mark Elms
4. Adrian Bidewell
5. Richard Tebbut

In the mod class Mark Fuller TQ'ed (Setting a new track record in the process) and won, while Stuart Collard won the 19 turn class also from pole position.

Could someone post the overall qualifying results please? Looked on the STCC sites and they only have the indivual rankings of each round - not a final qualifying order.

Thanks

Cheers Guys, The car was okay. Ill sort that setup out for you mate!! who said u needed a spool again ;)

Tried the spool and it was rubbish diff all the way round Southend. May not of had the fastest lap but 1/10th of a second behind Andy. I ran a p2k2 think I should have ran the monster then would have had more speed..

Cheers

RC

Might go aldershot or west london... where you guys going?

Bring on the National!! :)

OMG!!!!! Andy East only qualified 3rd????!!!!!!

thats down to the speed of mark elms and ricky copsey on the day. When you think that andy east still got within 5 seconds of his own track record it makes you realise how well the other two were driving.

Seems like they have done their homework and got an A (not as in final) for their efforts. Well done on your efforts as well Mark.

Not sure how accurate this location is, as it comes third hand, but I believe the track lies off/adjacent to the Kitchener Road in Chattenden Barracks. However I am sure someone from the Maritime club will correct this and let us know the exact location/directions if it is wrong.

I have also had look on Maritime website and ask the question, when will there be any meetings.

If I remember from two years ago the track is on a un-used M.O.D site. There is or was a gate across the entrance so you can't park by the track during the week and I think they had rules against using the track on non race days.

I might be wrong

Cheers Ady

The image library has now been updated for the Southend meeting - they are displayed in the ramdom image window on the right of the screen, I have now added the ability to just click the image to cycle to the next picture which are displayed randomly. There are over 30 images in the library, including some amazing "in air" shots.

Race report, with pictures, should be up tonight.
