After much debate over whether this is any good as a setup, I've decided it is after the input of a fellow SD racer, so feel free to try it. It's a nice, stable setting.

Just as an intro, i've had two problems with getting this car to run consistently. One has been tweak - check that the chassis is straight (I now use two blocks, one under the front wishbones, and another under the rear, placing the car on a flat surface to make sure the front is in line with the rear) - and also use the "lifting the car" trick to check that the shock settings stop any weight-distribution related tweak. Two has been the dreadful suppression on the Monster Stock - fit extra capacitors!!!! Don't assume you can get away without them, I made the mistake of thinking I could after my second monster worked fine on the first few runs. I've now got the car to accelerate and coast in a straight line.

Here's the setup.... (assume kit settings if not mentioned)

Front...
Yellow Yokomo Springs
35wt oil
Shock length 63/64mm (short/long ends)
Shocks on 4th hole out on Atheena Projects towers (slightly stood up compared to kit towers)
Wishbone in lower hole on C-hub
Camber link on middle/middle hole on shock tower
Droop 7 (on the guage, measured from the lowest point of the C-hub)
Ride height 5mm
2mm spacer under inner balljoint on steering arms, to stop bump-steer
0 toe

Rear...
Yellow Yokomo Springs
35wt oil
Shock length 62mm (short ends)
Shocks on 4th hole out of Atheena Projects towers (slightly stood up from kit)
Droop 5
Ride height 5mm
2 degrees toe in
1 degree anti-squat

Others...
Centre Stiffener removed
Tyres - narrow or wide Schumacher Yellow minipins, blue foam inserts - both work if you have tread!!
Motor - Fantom Monster on 20/75 (small track)
Cells - GP3300's
Speedo - GM V12
Servo - KO PS713
Radio - Futaba 3VC

Hi dave,
Ive been "playing" with my car setup last night and have used a few things off your SD setup (droop 7 front, 5 rear. 5mm ride height and 0 toe on front and 2 deg on the rear) Ive also read through the manual about "100" times and have found some stuff in there. 1 deg camber front and back and I have moved the shocks out a hole to a more upright position. It says it will improve senstivity on the steering and keep corner speed.Dont know if it will work but worth a try.I bring the setup sheet along to the club so you can have a look to see if there is anything I can improve on.

Chris

Just remember that my car is different to yours - droop settings in particular are different, so you won't necessarily get the same effect as I do. It'll be interesting to have a look at your car though.

do u think I should just leave it like this and see what happens?

Normally the best starting point is what the kit suggests.
