I have the D2 AMG Mini-Z, and I'm wondering.....
1. I remember seing a review of it ages ago, and it was recommended over other Mini-Z's. I think it was the wider wheels and something else. What was it? I can't remember....might have been softer tyres. ???
2. I saw a VW Golf Mk2 body for the Mini-Z and a I have a pic of it. anyone know who makes it?
3. How much do replacement servo gears cost? The gear at the front of the servo has lost tooth, and now it doesn't turn right. PM me with the answer to this one please!
Thanks!

1.The D2 Mercedes is recommended because of the wider wheels and it have the longest wheelbase, making the car really stable.
2.I am pretty sure no company makes the Golf, it might have been a custom body made by someone using around 1/24 scale model.
3.Replacement servo gears dont cost that much, here in Canada they cost around $12CDN, another option is to go for alloy first servo gear. I have heard good and bad things about it, bad is it might break the other "non alloy servo gears" because of weakest link, and some people say the steering slows down just a tiny bit, but i doubt it really make a differents. Good things is it wont break as easy as plastic gears.
I have personally never broke any servo gears before, just make sure you drive with the body on.

I have some questions about the ESC and motor......
What turn is the motor that comes as standard, and the X-SPEED V motor?
Also, what is the limit (so to speak) of the ESC that comes with the car?
I can get hold of a Scalextric motor which is a 81t motor. Would this be much quicker than the X-SPEED motor?
Thanks guys.

I am not 100% sure but i think the stock motor is around 55t-61t.
The X-Speed is 50t.
Stock mini-z esc, i wouldnt go below 50t, i heard that someone have gone down to 47t safely.
81t would be slow, maybe torquey??
a better motor than xspeed would be the pn speedy, it works with stock pcb and its a lot smoother than xspeed IMO.

Thanks mate, I've got one more Q.
What limit is the ESC's from Topcad? They do a Turbo ESC that 'piggybacks' the kit one.

I know people that have used that turbo or a similar one from TLP.
Most I would use is a PN-S03 motor, which is around 27t, but I have heard of the turbo warming or sometimes maybe melted.
Best to go with a fet upgrade, its safer, and less messier because the "add-on" turbos have many wires criss crossing. Also it is smoother than an add-on turbo. The add-on turbo tends to be more punchy, but runtime is decreased too. Opposite with the fet upgrade, more smoother acceleration and maybe a little longer runtime due to less resistance.
