Gearing

Hi chaps just after some advise what gearing would you use indoors at stafford (carpet masters) i am using a stock motor core stock if that helps?

For my stock motor and rubber tires I usually go for about 22:96 with the low ratio set. This gives an overall ratio of 7.72.

This is for a Monster Stock on tracks about 25m x 12m. I normally gear for acceleration rather than top speed, and I keep an eye on the motor temp as my guide. It usually comes off about 50 - 60'C. If it gets above 65'C then I come down a tooth on the pinion.
