Hi, the normal, since it happens a lot that the graphite gets twisted, even on stock.

Most of the SD's i have seen including mine are running the upgraded shaft ........................

Is the reason for running the graphite the fact that it has a lower rotating mass? ;D

I Put it on mine to drop the overall weight of the car ,the shaft along with the titanium screw set and i was down to the weight limit , as my GT7 is quite a heavy ESC , if i run my V2 its just below the weight limit.......................

Usually, the car have to be over 1500 g ready to race. Some clubs don't care, some do. Anyway, at official event you have to be over 1500g.
Never took the graphite shaft, heard on lot of forums it twists... I'm running the Tobee shaft, which is between the two...

On a different point do you guys run the middle brace on the car. I have seen some pics and they don't seem to run this??? ???
I will weigh my machine tonight and see what it is .... that is if I can finish putting it back together... big clean in progres.....!

it will make the car easier to drive, being less stiff. I keep it, but if on carpet I can't find any grip on the rear, for sure I will take it out.

i would not use the graphite shaft it twists and is not alot of any advantage except fot the weight and if you take the middle brace out it will take it down alot then do the alluminum screw set and you are down to your 1500g i actaully have to add weight to mine as i was 1480g but with the new rukes that is right on the limit 1480g i think.

I like the tobee shaft
its strong enough and only a few grams more than the graphite
saying that though i have a shooters graphite on mine for stock ,and havent had any problems with it

Do any of you run a rear shock tower on the front so that the shocks can be stood up a bit more?

Tobee craft make blue aluminium option parts for the SD. I have not seen them avail in the UK. They can be got from USA or HK.

Hi friends. Greetings from Malta.
I have also been told that the graphite centreshaft breaks, but in 6 months running the car with a 10 turn motor with grippy tyres i have not had any problems with mine.
It is lighter, and rotating weight is so important.
I have just made a new chassis for mine - 3mm carbon. Just beefed up everywhere and with no unnecessary holes so that it doesn't tweek so much. I managed to move the cells 2mm towards the centre and have also moved them forward quite a bit.
Regards
Joe from sunny Malta.
