new to track raceing got a ntc3

I'm new to saloon cars (have nitro monster trucks) and I have recently bought a nitro tc3 and am in the process of rebuilding it. I no that to race it I must use a .12 engine (what % nitro can I run) but what can I/can’t I change on the car from standard? What are the different classes of racing? What class should I look to start in so that I have a chance of coming somewhere other than last!! My nearest track is snetterton if that makes any difference Hope someone can help.
